Amber

Injured treetop
seeping sap

glazes wound
assuaging gap

oozing

sluggish

viscous

drips

plunging

flummoxed bugs
in sludge:

four million years
immortalizing

glassy
golden
frozen
time.

Interpretation of the topic focuses on the "syrupy" nature of the prehistoric resin secreted by trees which, after many years, became fossilized amber.
