Auditory Nerve

Subversive sounds show stifled ears
known rhythms can
diverge
at will

that harmony needs dissonance
and silence can possess a dance

that instrumentals can express
what simple lyrics never say

and nowhere would a note go wrong
if it should serve the longer song

and music could be anything

for one or all

when freedom sings.
