Eclipse

Encircled worlds
inertias hurled
from epochs lost
eternally
revolve around
a sparkling star

until by chance
within this dance
one glides before
that stellar light
immersing earth
in fervent night:

a shadow gone
as quickly cast
attesting darkness
cannot last.
