Emma and George

Enamored with all loves but hers,
abrupt to run where whim prefers,
she meddles with abundant means,
engaging matches made of dreams.

Both farmer and the gentleman,
he bides but warns with acumen
and reprehends officious art
when she defies his jealous heart.

They turn and lead in equal dance:
two hearts espousing rare romance.
