Fencing
You, wiser minds, prize ways through walls
which solely serve a king who calls
to separate, detain, or hold
unshackled souls yet uncontrolled.
Identify each brittle brick,
or ones so loose they cannot stick
once force of logic, truth, or love,
exerts a peace - one gentle shove
affording entrance toward that land
where obstructions shall not stand
before a soul aware no bound
delays it from the higher ground.
Survey horizons, wide and far,
then recognize what limits are:
those temporary fences meant
to enclose those who don't dissent.
