Let aspirations be your leaves
which seek the sun behind the clouds

whatever warmth and radiance
might make a mind more like the rose:

soft petals
flaring glorious

revealing richness
yielding art

beyond all lines

poised high
upon a solid stem
encompassing important thorns

so nothing thieves too easily
or busts the bloom ahead of time

before it should burst forth with truth
and dreams could be more than bouquets
that beautify but wither fast.

Embrace the light, my love,
and last!
