The summit suggests nothing of
a quest that met its final point.

While you observe the wider world,
reflecting splendors few will see,
another journey must commence
as you descend, returning home

to share this vista, spread perspectives,
dispense what wisdoms were received,
compelling rising eyes to spy
new courses up the mountainside,
surpassing spots you occupied,
perceiving deeper, learning further,
mending maps, philosophies,
all science, art, theologies

--far destinations generations
trail across the panorama
till they pass this place once more
and chase horizons as before,

advancing after elevation:
endless treks and exploration.
