Getting to Known, You

Familiarity:
now this could be a remedy
for xenophobic ones.

All those unnamed faces seen:
they were never to be feared
or loosely disregarded, scorned,
all due to someone's ignorance
or impatience to apprise.

And, remember, you, my dear,
do stand among the strangers, too,
until someone opts to take
the time and chance to learn firsthand
just where and how and why and who
you really are today.  Yes, you.
