Guinevere Gyratory
Fair Guinevere
of yonder heart
off-centering the nucleus
exchanging stations
gauzy veils
epiphanies
and Holy Grails.
No quest so true
revealing you
pursued by panting Lancelot.
Three torrid rings
recoiling
allegiant loved
capricious loves
seditious love
embroiling
spun Table Round
down foundering
collapsing
fabled Camelot.
Your once and future Arthur
parts
for Avalon
anon and yon.
Queen surceasing
turn again
burn in more perfected light
kneeling toward thy utmost King
petitioning
envisioning
soft murmured prayers
divine affairs
especially contrite tonight.
