Leviathan

Convulsing tides
   exacting wrath

the unseen scourge
   lambasts the path

of wayward vessels
   in its scope

unleashing forces
   drowning hope

with tentacles
   as legends told

by few survivors
   of its hold

who'd caution captains
   and their crews

to turn back ships
   or bear the bruise

of this behemoth's
   ruthlessness

to reign the waves
   and repossess

and flood the ocean
   with its dread

and
feed where monsters
   fear to tread.
