Mot Juste
Well-placed verse
impacts
cold stone
fracturing
compounding gaps
loosening
two bricks
then ten
collapsing limits
splitting
walls
emancipating blinded sight
deliverance:
good morning's light.

This poem is, in a way, a response to Thomas' famous "Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night" poem (
https://poets.org/poem/do-not-go-gentle-good-night
), alluding partly to the "blinding sight" while offering counterpoint to the "that good night" with "good morning's light."
This poem also embodies the spirit of Thomas' verse in not "going gently" but rather being bold - there, at the end, while, here, at the beginning.
