No, Not Gone

Though photos of you
   slowly fade

and memories
   trend blurrier

sense you shall never
   evanesce

that death was not
   the great eraser.

Some bonds resist
   the mortal rust

and dreams deceased
   perpetuate

as gasping stars
   surpass the dark.

No, nothing ever
   vanishes

forever
   in this cosmic lens

foremost
   those eternal truths

and love like ours
   none forget.
