Old for New

She steps from shadows
into light

disenchanted
yet entranced

to see as if
through stranger's eyes

epiphany
of ignorances

world
as it has always been

people
as they ever were

herself
as she has never known

the lives
which she had yet to live:

to enter morning
born of night

abandoning
old dreams for new.
