Orbital
Adrift within your gravity,
I gladly am your satellite
regarding you, my wondrous world,
observing seasons, continents,
your forming storms and ceaseless waves,
your placid lakes and golden shores.
I note you closely, distantly,
informed the more with every pass
as shadows lapse, revealing fields,
then you reflect the stellar light
and guide me through this galaxy,
where matters hinge on revolutions,
circles whirl beyond a star,
and nothing keeps us where we are.
