Park Bench Lucidity
Busses lunging
through the square
dump trucks rushing
bikers blare
cyclists whisking brisk ahead
while joggers bogged in distance
thread
through walking talkers
weaving
by
then sirens cry
- a butterfly.
Yes
everyone heads somewhere
there
except for me
that page in air
two sportive squirrels playing tag
and three crows dancing round a bag.
Still
centered
in this cool repose
the less I fret
the more thoughts flow
as blurs turn clear
and heartbeats slow.
