transcends the temple, lotus, kiss,
eluding paths, the mountain peak,
or where believers strain to seek
some stars to steer their souls through night,
away from anger, angst, the fight
to right the world in wrongful ways.
Beyond all doctrines, rites, and praise,
our promised lands and prayerful hands,
awaits the peace love understands.
