Phoenix: Starlight

I was a world of molten seas,
but lava cools and sets in place.

In time, I came to be the spark
that set an age of flames in chase,

returning afterwards as birds
to reach a certain state of grace.

Then I spread fiery wings of myth,
till tales fell still without a trace.

Now I am starlight, bright again,
elucidating endless space.
