Rejuvenescence

Quiescent yet reviving life,
depleted man, his withered wife
reanimate with brisk embrace:

phantasmal skulls restoring grace,
remembered beauties from ago
when dreams ran long and fears flowed slow.

Within these heartbeats, all yearns young,
as lips recall how love was sung:
duets welling soulful eyes

to resurrect, revitalize.
