Rights of Passage
As openly whole oceans flow
and willingly the winds will blow
let life deliver, give, and drift
around a mountain, through the rift
beneath, beside, before, behind,
above the hurdles of the mind
between the silence of two words,
and soar across your thoughts like birds
whose wings embrace the gift of flight
and, with it, distance, height, and sight
to seek the freedom, find a way
beyond denial or delay
where everything commences so
as openly whole oceans flow.
