So It Goes

Upon this bridge of stalwart stone
I sense enduring steadiness,
the sureness of eternity
that knows no ending nor beginning.

The reeling stream serves turbulence,
an everlasting restlessness
which illustrates the rush of time
from past, through present, flooding futures.

I'll pause midway to mind the flow
and then advance, as all must go.
